i love when families want to get silly in front of the camera and this family takes the cake on fun!

the concept and outfits were all planned by this mom of four surfer boys.

and just you wait to see the christmas card execution she'll create. how does she do it? :)

it rained driving to and from the shoot, but for that little window we were blessed with perfect light.

there were way too many good ones, so here are some of my favorites of this san clemente family.

(and i must give a shout out to my green longboard...it was the perfect addition)

I am back from a wonderful vacation with my family in Florida.

I guess I never told you that I left so I apologize for the delayed email responses.

Life never slows down over here. We just bought our first home 2 weeks ago and I'm still in survival mode.

I had so much fun working with a company called The Yes Girls that sets up wedding proposals.

I was hired to capture the moment and it was so magical from start to finish.

It was my first time really getting nervous for a shoot because I didn't want to miss a single moment and had to be ready with harsh lighting and not knowing which way she would be facing to get her reaction.

It looks like we were close to the scene, but thanks to my 70-200mm lens, I was sneakily snapping from quite a distance.

I took a lot of photos, but I'll blog the ones that tell the story of this cute couple and their unforgettable evening.

now that the holiday rush is over, i can update this blog with some of my many sessions.

i will now be putting more effort into a blog re-vamp, a new website, and finally figuring out why my photos don't transfer well to the web. anyone want to help me with any of that?

I would like to thank my clients again for being so great and for keeping me so incredibly busy!

did i mention that i was pregnant through all of this?!? yes, we are expecting #2 in june and it is such a blessing that I don't get pregnancy sickness because I would have had to cancel every one of your sessions.

holy crazy month of november!

i have never been this busy with a record 18 photo shoots this month and counting. actually, i have no more availability and have actually had to start saying no. that's hard for me, but there is just only one of me and i need to sleep sometime.

have i even thought about my own christmas cards? not one bit. we'll see if it happens this year.

i am obviously so behind with blogging all the sessions so i give you this hodge podge

although she looks about 21, this beauty just turned 16 and we had so much fun frolicking around this orange orchard that i have been dying to discover. we carefully sneaked past the 'no trespassing' signs and it was definitely worth the risk. would you agree?

we did this shoot mid-day impromptu so it was hard working around the harsh light, but these girls pretty much rocked it. they have been bff since they were 5. {so that's 5 years going stong}. brought me right back to when i was their age. ahhhh...to be ten again. {oh- and no editing on that sky below...it was THAT BLUE!}
